The Vision
I am an abstract painter based in Brevard, North Carolina, working primarily in watercolor, acrylic, and mixed media. My work is an exploration of the invisible depths of emotion and spirituality translated into a physical dialogue of color, light, and texture. My art serves as a tool for expressing what cannot otherwise be expressed, both for myself and for those who find comfort in it within this increasingly chaotic world. While some of my work may seem secular on the surface, there is always a deeper spiritual theme, and often my work is meant to invite others to explore the depth and true path of Christian spirituality and what it means to follow the teachings of Jesus.
The Process
My practice is a balance of intentionality and surrender. Using the fluid, transparent nature of watercolor alongside the tactile, grounded density of acrylics and colored pencils, I build layers that represent the complexity of the human spirit. Each piece begins with an emotional resonance and evolves through a process of addition and subtraction, seeking a point of clarity and peace on the paper or canvas.
Current Direction
I am currently developing a collection of watercolor-based artworks that explore the depth and emotional reaction to themes of spirituality and stories from the Bible. This series aims to evoke a sense of resonance and connection for the viewer, inviting them to find their own narrative within the abstract forms and, regardless of belief, find solace in the peace they convey.
Mission
Inspiring Through Art
My mission is to inspire and connect through the power of art, creating experiences that resonate on both personal and universal levels, regardless of background or belief. I strive to cultivate an appreciation for inner meaning and purpose, inviting my audience to engage with artworks that provoke deep thought and evoke strong feelings.
